Mental Health Support

A rare diagnosis takes a real toll on your mental health. This is how to find support where you live.

Appendix cancer is hard on patients and caregivers alike. The uncertainty, the thin information, and the sense that no one around you understands all add up. You do not have to carry it alone, and getting mental health support is not a sign of weakness.

Brook Sullivan is an Appendicure community member and a licensed clinical mental health therapist whose own mom is in treatment for appendix cancer. She can help you find care where you live: a therapist, a support group, a psychiatrist, or another service near you. Fill out the short form and she will help you figure out where to start.
