An appendix cancer industry partnership with Appendicure funds patient advisory work, patient education, and research support for appendiceal cancers. Appendicure is a patient-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused only on appendiceal cancers, including LAMN, HAMN, mucinous and non-mucinous adenocarcinoma, goblet cell adenocarcinoma (GCA), signet ring cell carcinoma, and pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).

Why companies partner with Appendicure

Appendix cancer is rare, and patients are spread across many countries. Most hospitals see only a few cases a year. That makes it hard for a company to learn what patients go through, test whether trial materials make sense to them, or reach the people who might qualify for a study. We bring these patients and caregivers together in one place. We do the recruiting, the moderating, and the reporting ourselves.

Global community

Patients and caregivers across every appendiceal subtype and stage. About one in three live outside the United States.

Patient registry

The Patient-Led Global Appendix Cancer Registry is IRB-reviewed and enrolling worldwide.

Trial Finder

The Appendicure Trial Finder matches patients to recruiting clinical trials based on their tumor mutations.

Drug Match

Drug Match shows patients which approved drugs connect to the mutations found in their tumor.

Patient education

Expert webinars, our blog, and our social channels.

Clinical advisors

Physicians and a molecular pathologist guide our content.

2027 partnership programs

Every program is a flat fee set in a short written agreement, and programs can be combined into one package. Full program details and timelines are in the 2027 Industry Partnership Catalog. Email us for current pricing.

5 PROGRAMS

Patient Voice

We recruit, screen, moderate, and write the report. Patients are paid for their time.

Research Advocate ReviewTrained patient advocates review a protocol, eligibility criteria, consent form, or recruitment materials.
Sponsored Patient SurveyA voluntary survey on an agreed topic, with a de-identified summary report.

Education

Before release, a sponsor may point out factual errors about its own products, and we decide what changes. Nothing promotes a product.

Clinician Reach and Events

Most doctors never see a case of appendix cancer. These programs reach the doctors who diagnose it and give patients a place to gather.

Rare Tumor Case ConferenceA 90-minute virtual session where appendix cancer experts walk community oncologists, surgeons, and pathologists through real, de-identified cases. Not accredited for continuing education.
Virtual Appendix Cancer Patient SummitA yearly one-day online event for patients and caregivers worldwide, with expert talks and live Q&A.
